Dear Survivors, The much anticipated 1.11 update and the associated wipe (both characters and servers) are projected to deploy on 16th of February. The wipe is to optimize the update's stability and to get clean foundations to monitor changes made with previous economy updates. [fyi: this is the 1st PC wipe and 2nd console wipe in 2 years.
You have one character shared with all official 3rd person servers, one for all official 1pp servers, and each community server has their own character. Switch between official servers and everything you carry comes with you, but you'll spawn in at a random position instead of where you were on the previous server. 7. The problem with leaving everything on community servers is things despawn wjth restarts. Restarts are important to ensure the game runs. When new editions of dayz come out, mods aren’t always ready and may break. For that reason it’s best to wipe each time to ensure mods work. 4.

Community servers wipe more often, the community server I played on updated everyone through discord. Wipes are pretty much up to the the individual server owners. Best thing is to find out if they have a website/discord somewhere. On community it is up to the server owner. On official they wipe every now and then with the updates.
paradox242. • 8 yr. ago. It really depends. Sometimes the stable branch doesn't update for 3 months. Sometimes it's a month or so. It's almost always wiped when there is a new update, so it would be reasonable to expect .60 to be wiped when .61 releases. I really wouldn't worry that much about your gear though, it's meaningless in the long run.
