Of the 29 pilots fly at the NC Regional contest last week, 19 pilots flew ARF's (12 AJ Aircraft, 5 Extreme Flight, 1 3DHS & 1 Aeroworks). The planes ranges from 71" up through 123" and could be found in all classes. EME mounts the carbs with the bolts in a vertical line where DLE mounts in a horizontal line. This means that if you turn the carb 180 and use a Pitts wrap around muffler, the needles are between the muffler and carb and impossible to access. I estimate that 60 % of that loss is behind the CG area.

You need a conversion program to move between the 12FG and 12Z, 14MZ and 18MZ. The file format is different on the 12FG but the conversion program will move the models around. However, you can't move from the 18MZ to the 12FG and 14MZ. Hopefully the 18SZ will be 'compatible' with the 12Z, 14MZ an 18MZ.

Yes you will add weight over stock mufflers but you get to keep your flying fields. The only way you can clog our canisters is fill them full of sand.It's not as easy for the engine to spit fuel out with a VS.Because it acks like a funnel and increases the air speed being suck into carb.
