The contracts are for the ultra-deepwater drillships, the Deepwater Corcovado and the Deepwater Orion, which Transocean acquired in 2018, by buying the drilling contractor Ocean Rig.Transocean owns or has partial ownership interests in and operates a fleet of 37 mobile offshore drilling units, consisting of 28 ultra-deepwater floaters and nine harsh environment floaters.The initial drilling programme is expected to last approximately 255 days and result in approximately US$80 million of contract drilling revenue.
