I chose to just run rubber hose from the radiator output, and the transmission input line where it ends behind the bumper. After reading several forums the consensus was the fittings are 1/4" NPT. I bought the 1/4" NPT to -6 AN for the trans cooler. NO fit. The bottom of the trans pan says in BIG letters "METRIC". the 1/4 NPT doesn't thread in, gets stuck after 1/4-1/2 turn. The 1/8 NPT is way too small.

I just installed a transmission cooler (mounted sideways) and routed the new lines from the bottom fitting (outlet) on my 700r4 to the bottom fitting on the cooler and from the top fitting on the cooler back to the top fitting (inlet) on the transmission.
