Posted by u/tylerjoseph2991 - No votes and 11 commentsI have had a break after some weeks into WQ from running Wellspring, then i casually helped out my team running it,- and both patterns dropped in the 2 runs one after the other, i think it is just RNG with a low chance, but it might have some other quota mechanism too, so maybe good chance for 2-3 runs a week, then back to very low..Do the harder one. Master is not required nor does it affect the drop rate. I ran around 30 normal wellspring in 2 days and got the other 2 to drop last weekend within those runs. You'll get them quicker is all. after you get your first one from the investigation board, the other two patterns come from wellspring.EXOTIC MISSION. I do like some of bungie’s decisions on most aspects of Destiny playability but this constant grinding the wellspring for glaive patterns at very low drop rates are not one of them.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but honestly they shouldn't have been 3 different exotics, it would've been wayy better if they made them all into one glaive (I.E, an exotic glaive that switches elements with the perk "The fundamentals", like hard light, borealis and dead messenger; to use all the three abilities, healing turret, bubble and the chain thing).

It took me 3 weeks of grinding Master Wellspring to get the exotic warlock glaive to drop, the hunter one took about 2 hours, it's rng and that's all it is. Awful and weapon crafting blows. The rng to get the right patter to open the weapon to craft blows it all sucks takes the fun out of the game.
