It's supposed to be free. At least for the fold 2, it was. If not, you can actually buy a 3rd party screen protector on amazon and install it yourself. Don't worry, it doesn't mess up the screen or anything. I've done it many times. The protector peeling/bubbling around the crease seems to be one of the common factors with the screen cracking up the middle. I considered a new protector, but difficult to get where I am so I ended up not bothering. I do baby my devices a bit, and have no nails/jewellery that could damage the screen, so noticed no issues around it.
