The only way to tell a 351M from a 400 is to pull the head and measure the stroke, or pull the oil pan and reference the crank number. I don't have specific info on the crank number, but there are enough posts here about it to find it ...

I like the idea of a longer stroke on 400m vs the stroke on the 460. I know a 460 can be built for alot of HP and torque but thats way up in the high fives to sixes in the RPM range.
