It's essentially a G19 frame (in 9mm) with a hybrid G17 slide that has the same dustcover design as the G34 slide - covered underneath. That allows using either that slide or a G19 length slide. The 49 was never going to be a 10mm, and even the SKU shown in the pic above isn't a valid factory SKU. It's more like a Lipseys SKU for a G19.

If it has a taper on the sides and at the top, then it's not pre-1994. I believe if you look at the top of the back of the mag, you will notice the notch. If the notch is "U" shaped, then it was manufactured prior to 1994 and is non-drop free.
