Considering cutting them just below the middle step at the bottom of that solid section just before the slot cut out begin again. I didn't know how this would work but I could always put the platform back on the Lone Wolf stand and the top steps back on the Hawk Helium stick. FYI - If you use a Harken 150 or Schaffer 70-17 you will need at least 2.25" hardware to mount through a Hawk Helium stick. I measured and figured I had about 1/4" of threads with a 2" bolt but it didn't work out that way. Barely had enough to thread on the nuts so I have to go back for some 2.25" or 2.5" hardware.

I usually carry 3 hawk helium climbing sticks with me. I am looking for ways to cut weight since I am often doing alot more hiking than I am actually hunting in some cases. The Heliums have 2 pegs on each step, so to speak, One on each side. so 6 pegs on each climbing stick.
