I would double check that seal install. Also the oil pump creates a vacuum inside the crankcase to evacuate the engine oil back towards the oil pan. If the vacuum is disrupted somehow the case oil can get past the crank seal and into the primary. Another place engine oil can get into the primary is the stator harness retainer screws.

I just changed the oil and used 20/50 royal purple. The owner's manual says oil capacity is 3.5 quarts so that is what I put in. When I check the oi, it's past the full mark on the dipstick.

For the Primary Chaincase in my 2012 FLHX StreetGlide I use Spectro Chaincase oil, for the 6-speed tranny I use Spectro HD 6-Speed transmission fluid 75w-140 which was designed exclusively for the Harley 6-speed transmission! Its a group 5 Synthetic & is $20.00 a quart but well worth it!FYI: My first oil change, have seen 2.5qt as the capacity as well as 3qt; put 2.5 in at first but when it showed low so added the rest, wonder if it's over full now.
