True, if you would get 1 pinnacle gear from each raid, on each character, each week it would be too much. But what OP is proposing seems like a GREAT idea to me. There would be 1 more pinnacle source each week and it would increase the number of people running older raids, which would make it easier for new players to finish raid related quests.

Raid FAQs. As of Season 22, Crota's End raid is the Pinnacle raid. Which means it drops Pinnacle rewards for each completed encounter every week per character. All other raids grant Legendary Gear. All raids continue to drop their exclusive rewards (such as any raid exotics or Timelost weapons).

I think having a system where the newest raid stays pinnacle the entire way through then a random second raid gets chosen to award powerfuls all the way up until the final encounter where it drops one pinnacle kind of like how we have the prophecy dungeon still doing that.
