The best part is when you find out that Johnny Truant’s mother wrote him a coded letter while in the asylum, well before she actually suggested using the code, in which she mentions the blind man by name even though based on everything Truant has said so far, she shouldn’t know who he is or that he ever existed.

Berserk is one of the best works of fantasy ever. It's a combination of gratuitous violence, extraordinarily detailed art, competent character writing, a strong commitment to themes, and a postmodern dialogue of fantasy and manga tropes that even Erikson can't match. If you've ever enjoyed a comic, you'll enjoy Berserk.

For me, if I had to choose the first book that comes to mind is The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy which is one of my all-time favorite books. I just found the story to be super fun and exciting, and I was entertained all the way through. Give me your best. East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

The Count of Monte Cristo is hands down, one of my all time favorite books, classic or otherwise. I mean talk about a slow burn with a killer payoff at the end. The book is almost a trail of patience; righteous vengeance in the hands of fate personified, played out over 400+ pages. You may have a hard time putting it down.

Dune by Frank Herbert is probably my favorite sci-fi book. Red Rising by Pierce Brown is my favorite sci-fi series. The Red Rising series is great. So many unexpected events.
