Just rebuilt a 400 from the crank up. It runs great but on a cold start seems the choke works than doesn't. To clarify, cold start: apply full choke, turn it over starts right up and revs a bit, pretty normal so far. Then it will run for a few seconds and die, as if I turned the choke off. Now I could be wrong on were it's at on this atv I havnt really looked ... I however do not know the part number for the front differential’s drain bolt washer. I bench tested the new starter and it spins fine with a known good battery with 220 cold cranking amps.

Then apply the brakes and spin the hubs (cycle back and forth a few times ) and make sure there isn’t too much drag. If there is, loosen the star. 1997 Suzuki QuadRunner 4WD.

Also looking at a Polaris 500 sportsman 2008 for the same price. I ride an LTZ 400 great quad but need more comfort. Wife rides a Polaris sportsman 500, it's ok.
Only way to really know the year and so on is with the Vin#. The vin tag is usually a small welded tag affixed to the left rear downtube. It should be facing the left rear tire. The 10th digit in your Vin# which is a letter corresponds to the year of your quad. ‘92 is a (N), ‘93 is a (P), ‘94 is an (R), ‘95 is a (S), and ‘96 is a (T).

A friend helped me strip the motor down, and ended up changing 4th gear (that's where the piece was from) and I believe third gear drive.Check the spark again, but do it in a completely dark room. Look around the coil and spark plug cap for arcing. Aside from that, make sure any sensor switches are working properly (reverse or neutral sensor?) The mount is the same on all Vinson's and the Vinson plow mount even fits my 2021 King Quad 750 (oil drain plug holes dont line up). I was planning on getting a 54" plow since my Vinson was only a 500.

Jan 30, 2017 · Check the carb vent line to see if is clear if it has one. Recheck float height and that float needle is seating properly. Make sure the pilot screw is adjusted to specs. This is important as the valve will open quicker if it is twisted. 2. The spring does wear out. Worn spring will result in lean burn above 1/4 throttle as the slide opens quicker and allows more air.Which is basically what Mobil 424 is. All of the Acrtic Cat 650 and 700 V-Twin engines were Kawasaki motors. The 700 DOHC single is a Suzuki motor. All of the H1 and H2 SOHC engines are Arctic Cat's own (550, 650, 700, 951 V-Twin).
