The …Feb 16, 2009 · Just jack up the truck and spin the tire by hand. If you need a reference, you can hold a pointer or stick with a couple of bricks near the tread. That is very easy and will tell you if the tire is out or the wheel is bent (much more likely these days). To check the wheel, put the pointer next to the rim while you spin. Dont really need any head work, they flow better than PSD heads. The head bolts or studs are a weak point, the heads will lift above 10 or 12 psi in short order. Recently Wes or somebody floated the idea that 7.3 head gaskets were stronger than the 6.9 because of the filled coolant channel.

It doesnt leak much, but you can see blue smoke especially at startup.
