A shaft from the mower connects to the back side of the pulley, which is all in a metal box configuration. Maybe the mower is designed for a set up like this and that may make a difference in rotation. C.

Weatherford TX. May 11, 2010. #1. I just recently purchased my first tractor. It's a 1986 B8200 hydrostatic 4wd. with a BF300 loader on it. It has 605 hours on it and seems to be a good little machine so far. I purchased it to help maintain the four acres we now live on.
If you connect before the loader valve you may have bypassed a relief valve. Certainly, if there is one in the loader valve, you have bypassed it. To check pressure at the loader, connect to one of loader valve ports feeding a cylinder. In that way the loader's relief valve can protect the pump.

That sounds like a $1,500CAD tractor to me. 2WD are near impossible to sell these days. I can buy a brand new bx2380 Kubota with 4WD, FEL, mower, blower and 6-year warranty for about $15,000CAD. Whilst dealing with a severe case of rodent damage to my B8200's wiring loom I had to remove the dash panel, which wasn't going to be just a case of removing the steering wheel . First off the steering wheel was seized solid to the shaft and no amount of Penetrating Fluid, pulling with a puller, leverage etc it wasn't coming off without a fight.This is a procedure that must be done with the utmost safety in mind as every safety feature is bypassed. Good thing it it's very common for that to happen, and it probably didn't do any damage to the engine. Your going to have to pull the pump again... and replace the seal. Please see attachment.
