Feb 28, 2021 · I hear the 795 may be discontinued due to Marlin getting purchased by Ruger. This is disappointing because it is a fine rifle especially for its price. Here is a photo of my 795. I own a suppressor so I will be taking her to the gunsmith to thread the barrel.

Greetings, I would like to know if anyone has actually used any magazines designed for the Marlin model 70 (ie the 15 round magazine made by National) in a Marlin 795. Some say it "should" work, but I have yet to find anyone that has really tried it. Your help is appreciated.Marlin 70PSS Papoose Specs. 22LR only. The last I looked I see the web site still shows the Xt-22mtsl but ...Harris is the way to go if you do not want it to bend, but the 795 is not a real heavyweight so maybe not an issue. The Chinese copies are soft steel and nowhere as durable as a Harris, but are half the price.

The stock trigger pull of a 10/22 (at least the ones i tested) is like twice harder than the original Marlin 795 trigger pull. This with some tweeks can be reduced quickly without any problems. Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 795 are very different rifles.Its a lot of work but at the end it pays off because its a nice touch and its one of the shortest flash hiders. Also now you have a flash hider that will mount onto any 795 and model 60 over and over. It has a synthetic stock, I don't believe you can get a wood one from the factory as of now. There are aftermarket options.
