This is what I did when I reapplied and it worked out fine for me. Many schools did have veryyyy similar secondaries, some schools changed a question or 2 from year to year.

Aim for a 2 week turnaround for most schools, especially for the ones with rolling admissions and an early interview season (e.g. Tulane, UMichigan, NYU, Mayo). Pay attention when schools give a deadline. Otherwise, feel free to work longer on your secondary (3-4 weeks) for the likes of Harvard, Yale, Columbia, etc.

For the past 20+ years I have heard the same complaints, slower secondaries, less interviews, silent rejections, etc. this is a nerve-racking, neurosis inducing, and occasionally paranoia pandemonium in the worry and stress that this process causes.You're not the only one either suffering from essay fatigue or just wanting an easier route.
