There are several custom firmware options available for the RGB30. ArkOS is very similar to JELOS but its configuration is a little different. Instead of making system/console/game adjustments within the EmulationStation interface, most of the configuration is done directly in RetroArch.Hold down R3 (the right analog button clicks) and tap power to shut down. I haven't had an issue with ARKOS not loading when I started shutting down like that. RGB30 all the way, at least for now in some regards. Love the screen res for those early gens and pico-8. Biggest issue for me is the custom firmware options for RGB30 (JELOS / ARKOS) over the H (nothing stable). As for the black bars on gba there are some things you can do to mitigate that if you don't mind a little cutoff.
