How to unlock steel path.
Steel Path is "hard mode", it gives enemies 100 more levels and additional health/armor/shields, and cranks up the spawns to be equivalent to always having 4 players, even if you're solo. You gain mastery for progressing through SP, just like in the regular star chart. Junctions still exist, but you don't have to repeat the requirements again.

A good weapon is usable on multiple frames, and can make Steel Path easy. Since you've already unlocked the Zariman to get to Steel Path, you should have access to one of the best and easiest weapons to acquire: The Laetum. Build it, evolve it, invest heavily in it, it'll carry you for the entire Steel Path. It's that good.
