Lots of misinformation here. I tested this just last week and no, bites will NOT kill you on Everyone's Infected settings. You'll get all the usual symptoms and even a bit of health loss due to fever, but even with Prone to Illness the fever only lasts a couple hours before you start to recover. 4.

Just about anything can kill you in Project Zomboid, but nine times out of 10, it's going to be a zombie.If you're not mobbed by a group of them, one is going to bite you, and that's a death sentence"Bite" is a type of wound, if you have all infection settings off then you won't be infected with the Zombie virus. There is a difference between Zombie infection and normal wound infection though. If you have no infection enabled then a bite will still cause a bad wound and may show as "Infected" but you won't actually turn into a zombie.
if you open your health tab it'll show the bite if you have one, minor damage during a fight that isnt a scratch or bite means the zombie attack didnt break the skin. Okay good, phew..
