Then there's Cassiopeia who gets countered by picks like Ori rather than Ryze. Kassadin is an easy match up for Ryze but I think Kassa can survive the lane pretty well and lose only slightly. I'd consider picking something like Renekton or Akshan if they go Kassa. Katarina is also a popular pick right now.
