My dad had a 180 years ago nice tractor plenty of power but if memory serves me it was a gas and you had to own an oil refinery to keep it in the field. So not sure how a 185 relates (if it does). I use SAE 30 above 32 degrees. Transmission has 17 quarts of SAE 80 EP. it is a square plug on the left side of the transmission just in front of the clutch pedal. There are 2 plugs on my WD and would assume on a 45 also. One is for the transmission,differential and one for the clutch. Both compartments use the same oil.

I would take the front cover off. There aren't any dowels in that cover. I didn't have to use a speedy sleeve to stop the leak from grooves cut by the old seal on the crank.
