The epoxy coating does change the sound a bit. Gives a bit brighter highs. If the bass is defretted you must fill the fret slots and sand level before applying epoxy. It's not easy to get a professional looking job but it can be done. I'd mix up a small amount and test the technique first on a small piece of hardwood.
Aug 15, 2007 · The only real difference is the preamp. I played the one I bought at GC and swapped back and forth with the U.S. Stingray 5 for about 45 minutes. The only difference I could tell was maybe the age of the neck wood. I could tell that the Ray 35 is using younger wood, it looks lighter and feels newer. 1: Turn the ‘Bright’ setting on in the Flip Top settings. It may not be for you, but it’s very useful for other tones and worth a try! I'm a flats player so I'd recommend them, but I'm aware that the OP may not like them at all. 3 - If you like the sound and feel of a Bronco, it's good for small, medium, large and stadium gigs. If you don't, it's not. I find the Bronco to balance well, I love the light weight, and the neck feels great.
The Zoom MS-60B has either more DSP power or better algorithms as far as I can tell. Otherwise I managed to dial in most of my tones. The foot switch makes it super practical, especially for looping. Let me know if you have any questions about the Prime P1 and the foot switch. Aug 17, 2022 #6.
