A lighter spring might actually be worse during shooting. The slide tends to slam back harder, and cause more felt recoil. With your weapon hand grab the grip in a normal fashion with your finger off the trigger. With your support hand grab the slide with your palm on one side, and fingers on the other.

I was watching a youtube video about the XDM 4.5 and an XDM 3.8 compact in the same caliber. The user said you could run either slide/barrel combo on either frame. Is this true?
